Ljubljana, 20 October - Below is a schedule of events for Saturday, 21 October:
LJUBLJANA - Election black-out sets in at midnight ahead of the Sunday local elections in which around 1.66 million eligible voters will be able to cast ballots for mayors and councillors in the 210 Slovenian municipalities. Political propaganda is banned all until polls close at 7 PM on Sunday.
KOBARID - Day of the Kobarid Museum, which showcases a collection on the Isonzo Front, which saw some of the harshest fighting during World War I.
GORIZIA, Italy - A bust of Simon Gregorcic will be unveiled at a ceremony at 3 PM to mark the centennary of the birth of this acclaimed Slovenian poet.
LJUBLJANA - The conference of university chancellors of SE Europe, sponsored by the Ljubljana University and the Ljubljana University Student Organisation, will come to a close.
AARHUS, Denmark - Slovenian gymnast Aljaz Pegan will be defending his title on the high bar at the finals of the World Gymnastics Championships in Aarhus. (STA)
REKYAVIK, Iceland/KOPER, Slovenia - Slovenia's two best handball clubs will be competing in Europe's strongest club competition, the Champions League: Celje will be playing at Fram Reykavik in group F (6 PM), while Gold Club will host Panellionios Athens in group G action (6:30 PM). (STA)
