Maribor Faces Run-off, Top Candidates Upbeat

Ljubljana, 22 October - Maribor, Slovenia's second largest city, faces a run-off for mayor as independent Gregor Pivec won almost a third of the vote and ruling People's Party (SLS) candidate Franc Kangler clinching almost 22% in Sunday's local elections. Pivec as well as Kangler are upbeat about their prospects in the second round.
