LJUBLJANA - Parliament is to resume its session for October at 9 AM. The agenda for the day includes the second readings of the income tax bill, the corporate income tax bill and the tax procedure bill.

LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - An Agriculture Ministry delegation is to attend a two-day session of the EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council. Fisheries and the reform of the wine sector are to top the agenda.

LJUBLJANA - The Eureka 2006 technology fair is to open, to run until 26 October under the motto "Slovenia's Development Potential". The three-day event, which will be opened at 4 PM by Economy Ministry State Secretary Andrijana Starina Kosem, is to feature the R&D achievements of 30 Slovenian companies and 11 faculties. LJUBLJANA - To mark United Nations Day, a round table is to be staged in Slovenia's capital at 2:30 PM on the role of the UN in resolving the Middle East crisis. Meanwhile, a peace festival will be held in Slovenj Gradec the UN Messenger of Peace City (gets underway at 11 AM).

TRIESTE, Italy - Local Self-Government and Regional Policy Minister Ivan Zagar is due to meet Riccardo Illy, the head of the Italy's Friuli-Venezia-Giulia region. Zagar is also to meet representatives of the Slovenian minority in Italy and the Italian minority in Slovenia.

MUNICH, Germany - Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak is due to visit EXPO REAL 2006, the real-estate fair.

LJUBLJANA - Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Jure Zupan is to present the results of the competition for state funding of young researchers at a press conference scheduled for 11 AM.

TRIESTE, Italy - A panel organised by the Slovenian Cultural and Economic Association is to discuss Slovenian minority representation in the regional parliament of Friuli-Venezia-Giulia.

LJUBLJANA - Parliament Speaker France Cukjati is to receive at 11:45 AM a delegation of the Slovak Constitutional Court headed by vice-president Eduard Barany.

LJUBLJANA - The supervisory board of the Slovenian Railways will be in session. The chairman, Peter Verlic, it to talk to the press at 5 PM.
