Slovenia Interested in Associated or Full Membership in EFTA
Geneva, 9 December - SLOVENIA/EFTA
Prime Minister of Slovenia Janez Drnovšek sent a letter to Prime Ministers of European Free Trade Association (EFTA) member countries (Switzerland, Norwegian, Iceland, Liechtenstein) and to Secretary General of EFTA, in which he expressed the proposal of Slovenia that these countries should consider the possibility of a strengthened status of Slovenia in EFTA, and assume a common position regarding that, head of the permanent mission of Slovenia to the United Nations in Geneva, Ambassador Anton Bebler told Slovene Press Agency on Friday.
