Jazbinšek: Slovenia adopts the conventions from Rio

Ljubljana, 9 June - The Republic of Slovenia is adopting both conventions, the Rio Declaration and the Agenda 21 which was proposed at the UN Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro (UNCED). Slovenia will adopt the provisions regarding the management of the forests as well because it has a well developed tradition of the ecologically based forest management. This was said at the today's discussion on the conference by the Slovenian Minister of Environment, Jože Jazbinšek.
