Weekly Review of Events Involving Slovenia from 30 December to 5 January

Ljubljana, 6 January - Slovenians welcomed the arrival of the single European currency as they gathered in the streets across the country to usher in the New Year. Slovenian diplomats held an annual consultation whose agenda was dominated by the EU presidency, which the country is set to assume one year from now. One of its priorities will be inter-cultural dialogue, something that officials had the chance to discuss with Secretary General of the Arab League Amr Moussa, who was here for a working visit.
