Ljubljana, 7 January - Below is a schedule of events for Monday, 8 January:

LJUBLJANA - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel will hold separate meetings with Rudi Pavsic, the president of the Slovenian Cultural and Economic Association, an organisation of the Slovenian minority in Italy and Drago Stoka, the head of the Council of Slovenian Organisations (at 10 AM), German Ambassador Hans-Joachim Goetz (at 11:30 AM) and Ljubljana Mayor Zoran Jankovic (at 3 PM). LJUBLJANA - The German Ambassador to Slovenia Hans-Joachim Goetz and Abed Naumann, the head of the Goethe Institut in Ljubljana are to hold a joint press conference at 1 PM.

RIBNICA - Transport Minister Janez Bozic and Environment and Spatial Planning Minister Janez Podobnik are to meet mayors of several municipalities in southern Slovenia to discuss road and motorway construction programmes at 4 PM.

LJUBLJANA - Labour, the Family and Social Affairs Minister Marjeta Cotman is to present at 11 AM the activities of the ministry in 2007 for the disabled at a meeting with representative organisations that is to take place behind closed doors.

LJUBLJANA - Public broadcaster TV Slovenija will unveil a new image of its news shows and their new hosts at 11 AM.

LJUBLJANA - STA is to publish a feature prior to the two-day official visit of Italian Foreign Minister Massimo D'Alema to Slovenia. (STA)
