Slovenia Lags Behind EU in Energy Efficiency

Brussels, 10 January - A survey by the European Commission shows that Slovenia's energy consumption is growing, but energy efficiency is well below the EU average. Slovenia used 301 tonnes of crude oil equivalent per unit of GDP (one million euros) in 2004, whereas the EU average was 185 tonnes.
