The first anniversary of the Slovenian Press Agency (STA)

Ljubljana, 19 June - One year ago, on June 20 1991, the STA team of 5 members reported its first news item to 100 clients in Slovenia and abroad. In less than one year, despite the war and the many difficulties of a young country which have influenced STA's development, it has transformed itself into an agency which sends approximately 150 items of current news and reports daily to the Slovenian media, to foreign press agencies, to Slovenian representatives abroad, to embassies and to individuals in the Slovenian and English languages.
