jubljana, 23 December (STA) - Regarding Thursday's statement of the Liberal Democracy of Slovenia (LDS) that the Slovene Christian Democrats (SKD) could get the post of minister without portfolio in charge of anti-corruption campaign in exchange for the post of foreign minister, SKD President Lojze Peterle said that they did not take this offer seriously as they can carry out their projects within the existing government sectors.***

Ljubljana, 23 December - PETERLE: LDS OFFER IS NOT TAKEN SERIOUSLY=
        SKD President Lojze Peterle wrote, in his letter to Prime Minister Janez Drnovšek on Thursday, that in accordance with Article 2 of the Agreement on Cooperation between the LDS and SKD, the SKD Executive Council decided, on its Wednesday session, to propose Peter Vencelj, state secretary to the Foreign Ministry, for the post of foreign minister. The SKD stressed that Vencelj had been presenting Slovene interests abroad in a responsible and successful way.
