Ljubljana, 7 March - Below is a schedule of events for Thursday, 8 March:
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Prime Minister Janez Jansa, accompanied by Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel and Economy Minister Andrej Bajuk, is to attend the two-day EU summit which will focus on energy and climate change. In the evening Jansa will attend a meeting of leaders of the European People's Party (EPP). (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Parliament is to try and muster a two-thirds majority needed for constitutional changes regarding immunity from persecution and the judiciary. The agenda also includes the bill on financial operations of companies and amendments to the act on worker co-determination. The session kicks off at 10 AM.
SLIVNICA - The Transport Ministry and Aerodrom Maribor, the company managing the Maribor airport, are to present at noon the strategy and development of the airport. Transport Minister Janez Bozic and Aerodrom Maribor general manager Matjaz Sonc are to be in attendance. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The STA is to publish an interview with European Energy Commissioner Andris Piebalgs prior to his visit to Slovenia on Friday. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The International trust Fund for demining and the American Chamber of Commerce are to organise at 6:30 PM a fund-raising dinner for the Slovenian-run fund.
LJUBLJANA - The International Women's Day is to be celebrated throughout the country.
