Central Bank Boss Nominee Fails to Win Vote

Ljubljana/Brussels, 9 March - Andrej Rant, President Janez Drnovsek's nominee for the post of central bank governor, failed on Friday to garner the necessary 46 votes in parliament to be appointed to the post. While 34 deputies voted for the Banka Slovenije vice-governor, 38 voted against.
