Ljubljana, 9 March - Below is a schedule of events for Saturday, 10 March:
LJUBLJANA - The council of the coalition New Slovenia (NSi) is to begin at 10 AM a session at which the party will officially endorse Alojz Peterle as their candidate in the 2008 presidential election. NSi president Andrej Bajuk is to speak to the press at 1 PM. (STA/PHOTO)
PORTOROZ - The ruling Slovenian Democrats (SDS) are the hold their annual meeting, this time under the title "The Most Important Challenges for the SDS in 2007". Prime Minister Janez Jansa is to address the press at 1 PM.
LJUBLJANA - A session of the council of the opposition Liberal Democrats (LDS) that will among other things see a vote on the council's chair and the members of the party's executive board is to begin at 10 AM.
BERLIN, Germany - The director of the Slovenian Tourist Board Dimitrij Piciga is to attend a 10 AM press conference of the International Tourism Exchange (ITB).
LJUBLJANA - The Association for the Liberation of Animals and Their Rights is to hold an international rally to protest the decision of the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning to cull 100 brown bears in Slovenia this year.
MODENA, Italy - The volleyballers of Autocommerce Bled are to face Macedonia's Rabotnicki Skopje in the half-finals of the Top Teams Cup closing tournament in Modena; at 3 PM.
