Ljubljana, 10 March - There was a new momentum in the Slovenian-Croatian dispute on the border, as an Austrian MEP proposed this week that the two countries settle for arbitration on the issue. This was coupled by calls from senior EU officials for the issue to be dealt with before Slovenia held the EU presidency in the first half of 2008. Meanwhile, Slovenia was a step closer to getting a new left-leaning party this week, as six former Liberal Democracy (LDS) MPs announced they had established a society that could in the future become a party.
