MONDAY, 12 March
        LJUBLJANA - Five leading Slovenian trade unions are to hold a press conference to outline the reasons for a rally to be held in Ljubljana on Thursday.
        VIENNA, Austria - Interior Minister Dragutin Mate is to attend the opening of the 15th course of the Central European Police Academy.
        BREMEN, Germany - Health Minister Andrej Brucan is to attend a two-day ministerial conference entitled Responsibility and Partnership - Together Against HIV/AIDS.
        BONN, Germany - Foreign Ministry State Secretary Andrej Ster is to attend a meeting of EU ministers responsible for development aid.
        LJUBLJANA - The social partners - government, trade unions and employers - are to meet at noon for the latest round of talks on the new Social Agreement.
        LJUBLJANA - "An Inconvenient Truth", the environmental awareness book by former US Vice-President Al Gore, is to be presented by publisher Mladinska knjiga.
        
TUESDAY, 13 March
        LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary Credentials and Privileges Commission is to debate the government-sponsored bill on the Roma community.
        LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Tourist Board is to hold a press conference to present the results for winter tourist season 2006/2007.
        PORTOROZ - Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak is to attend the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the logistics group Intereuropa.
        LJUBLJANA - Public Administration Minister Gregor Virant is to meet the representatives of the International Monetary Fund, who are on a visit to Slovenia.
        LJUBLJANA - A press conference is to be held ahead of the start of the 9th International Festival of Documentary Film.
        LJUBLJANA - The Bolshoi Theatre of Russia is to perform at the Hala Tivoli arena.

WEDNESDAY, 14 March
        NUREMBERG, Germany - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to take part in a meeting of EU foreign ministers and their counterparts from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
        SLOVENJ GRADEC - The ministers for the environment and spatial planning and transport, Janez Podobnik and Janez Bozic, are to meet mayors of municipalities in the regions of Korosko and Savinjsko-Salesko to discuss plans for the Third Development Axis, a transport link between northeastern and southeastern Slovenia.
        LJUBLJANA - The Environment and Spatial Planning Ministry and Slovenian Biochemical Association are to prepare a workshop on genetically modified organisms.

THURSDAY, 15 March
        LJUBLJANA - A two-day session of the financial committee of the successors to the former Yugoslavia is to get underway, discussing the division of diplomatic and consular property.
        LJUBLJANA - Weekly cabinet session.
        LJUBLJANA - Macedonian Transport and Communications Minister Mile Janakievski is to pay a visit to Slovenia. He is scheduled to meet his Slovenian counterpart Janez Bozic.
        LJUBLJANA - Public Administration Minister Gregor Virant is to attend the presentation of awards for achievements in economy and entrepreneurship for 2006 given out by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
        LJUBLJANA - The European Commission Representation in Slovenia, the Government Consumer Protection Office and the Slovenian Consumers' Association are to hold a joint conference to mark World Consumer Rights Day.
        LJUBLJANA - Institut Jozef Stefan, Slovenia's premiere scientific institution, is to hold a press conference to outline the 15th Days of Jozef Stefan, which will be taking place between 19 and 25 March.
        KRANJ - A press conference is to be held ahead of the 37th Week of Slovenian Drama.
        LJUBLJANA - A round table is to held on the margins of an exhibition of the works of Slovenia's best-known architect, Joze Plecnik, to discuss Slovenia's attitude to Plecnik's achievements.

FRIDAY, 16 March
        STAROD - State Secretary at the Public Administration Ministry, Roman Rep, is to inaugurate the Starod international border crossing with Croatia.
        LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary Committee for the Environment and Spatial Planning is to debate claims of irregularities by the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning in paying a contractor for works in the clean up of the landslide at Log pod Mangartom.
