Constitutional Court Throws Out Claim by Former Izola Mayor

Ljubljana, 14 March - The Constitutional Court said Wednesday that it had thrown out an appeal by the former mayor of Izola Breda Pecan on preceding rulings regarding the Izola municipal vote on the grounds that Pecan had not exhausted all her legal options. The court, however, did not yet rule on her challenge to the allegedly vague provisions in the general and local elections act that in her opinion resulted in Tomislav Klokocovnik being elected mayor.
