Ljubljana, 15 March - Below is a schedule of events for Friday, 16 March:
LJUBLJANA - Members of the parliamentary EU Affairs Committee are to come together at 2 PM to discuss among other things the EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council scheduled for 19 and 20 March. The Foreign Policy Committee, including Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel, will meanwhile discuss Slovenia's current international activities; begins at 9 AM.
LJUBLJANA - Slovenia's central bank, Banka Slovenije, is to wrap up the two-week visit to Slovenia by the delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) with a press conference at 10 AM. (STA/PHOTO)
LJUBLJANA - The two-day session of the financial committee of the successors to the former Yugoslavia, discussing the division of diplomatic and consular property, is to come to a close.
ZAGREB, Croatia - Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Jure Zupan is to attend a conference of the Central European Exchange Program for University Studies (CEEPUS). The participants are expected to examine the programme's operation in the past year, among other things.
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary Committee for the Environment and Spatial Planning is to debate at a session at 9 AM claims of irregularities by the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning in paying a contractor for works in the clean up of the landslide at Log pod Mangartom.
LJUBLJANA - Agriculture, Forestry and Food Minister Iztok Jarc is to speak to the press at 11 AM about the activities at the ministry after his recent appointment.
STAROD - State Secretary at the Public Administration Ministry, Roman Rep, is to inaugurate at the Starod international border crossing with Croatia.
MARIBOR - The Greens are to speak to the press at noon, among other issues about the establishing of the Green Academy.
LJUBLJANA - A news conference at noon will present the ongoing seminar for Slovenian messengers of culture around the world. The event is to be attended by Zorko Pelikan, state secretary for Slovenians abroad.
MARIBOR - The world's vine will get its customary prunning at 11 AM.
