MONDAY, 26 March
        LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly is to begin its regular March session with questions time.
        BRUSSELS, Belgium - Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk is to be taking part in a meeting of the eurogroup.
        LISBON, Portugal - Interior Minister Dragutin Mate is to be taking part in a two-day meeting of interior ministers from new EU members, hosted by Portugal.
        NEW YORK, US - President Janez Drnovsek is to take part in a preparatory meeting for the Global Impact Forum, which will be held in Jerusalem in September.
        LJUBLJANA - Banka Slovenije Governor Mitja Gaspari is to hold a press conference to present a report on price stability.
        LJUBLJANA - The social partners are to continue negotiations on the Social Agreement behind closed doors.
        LJUBLJANA - The new Development Minister, Ziga Turk, is to hold an introductory press conference.
        LJUBLJANA - The Ljubljana city council is to debate the budget bill for 2007.

TUESDAY, 27 March
        LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly is to continue its session for March with a debate on the proposed declaration of Slovenian activities in EU institutions between January 2007 and June 2008.
        BRUSSELS, Belgium - Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk is to be taking part in a meeting of EU finance ministers.
        ALMADEN, Spain - Environment Minister Janez Podobnik is to meet his Spanish counterpart Christina Narbono and the head of the European Commission's Directorate General for Sustainable Development and Integration Tim Maekela on the eve of a European conference on mercury.
        LJUBLJANA - New Ombudsman Zdenka Cebasek Travnik is to outline her plan of activities.
        LJUBLJANA - German, Portuguese and Slovenian musicians are to stage a concert of the European Academy of Ensembles to mark the EU presidency trio and the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome.
        LJUBLJANA - Perutnina Ptuj, Slovenia's largest poultry company, is to present results for 2006 and its investment plans at a press conference.
        LJUBLJANA - German discount grocery chain Lidl is to hold a press conference ahead of the opening of 15 stores in Slovenia.

WEDNESDAY, 28 March
        THE HAGUE, Netherlands - Prime Minister Janez Jansa is to pay a working visit to the Netherlands.
        RIYADH, Saudi Arabia - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to be attending the 19th Summit of the Arab League.
        LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly is to conduct a second reading of the government-sponsored Roma community bill as it continues its session for March.
        ALMADEN, Spain - Environment Minister Janez Podobnik is to take part in a European conference on mercury.
        LJUBLJANA - The award for the best IT manager in 2006 is to be conferred at an event that will be attended by Development Minister Ziga Turk.
        LJUBLJANA - The award for the best Slovenian ski resort in 2006/2007 is to be given out at a ceremony.
        CELJE - The Slovenian football team is to take on the Netherlands in a Euro 2008 qualifier.

THURSDAY, 29 March
        LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly is to vote on the changes to the act on public servants and the nomination of Samo Fakin for director of the Health Insurance Institute as it continues its session for March.
        LJUBLJANA - The cabinet is to meet for its weekly session.
        LJUBLJANA - Bank Austria Creditanstalt, the Slovenian subsidiary of the BA-CA group, is to present results for 2006 and plans for 2007 at a press conference.
        LJUBLJANA - The European Commission Representation in Slovenia and the Institute for Strategic Studies are to stage a panel "Europe's Black Sea Dimension" as part of celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome.
        LJUBLJANA - The Tourism and Leisure Fair is to get underway, running until Sunday.
        BLED - The 39th International PEN meeting of writers is to get underway. A round table is to be held on endangered languages and cultures on the verge of extinction.

FRIDAY, 30 March
        LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly is to debate the opposition's demand for a parliament inquiry commission into the government's purchase of eight-wheeled armoured personnel carrier on what is expected to be the final day of its session for March.
        LJUBLJANA - Admiral Edmond P. Giambastiani, the vice chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, is to pay a visit to Slovenia. He is to be received by Defence Minister Karl Erjavec and the Slovenian Armed Forces Chief-of-Staff, Lieutenant General Albin Gutman.
        PORTOROZ - Health Minister Andrej Brucan is to be taking part in a conference on management in the health sector.
        BLED/LJUBLJANA - The participants of the 39th International PEN meeting are to visit the Slovenian capital, where they are scheduled to take part in a literary evening.

SATURDAY, 31 March
        BLED - The close of the 39th International PEN meeting.

SUNDAY, 1 April
        KRANJ - The curtain is to be lowered on the 37th Week of Slovenian Drama with an award ceremony.
