Ljubljana, 1 April - Schedule of events in the week from 2 to 8 April:

MONDAY, 2 April
        LJUBLJANA - Holy See's Secretary for Relations with States, Bishop Dominique Mamberti begins a two-day official visit to Slovenia. Apart from his host, Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel, Mamberti is to meet President Janez Drnovsek and Prime Minister Janez Jansa.
        HELSINKI, Finland - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec begins a two-day official visit to Finland.
        LJUBLJANA - Social partners are set to resume negotiations on the social agreement.
        PORTOROZ - Managers in the Slovenian energy sector are to hold a two-day meeting, featuring Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak and Environment and Spatial Planning Minister Janez Podobnik.
        LJUBLJANA - Sports equipment manufacturer Elan and Gigodesign are to hold a press conference as Elan gets the prestigious Red Dot Design Award for the design of its skis. Development Minister Ziga Turk is expected to be on hand.
        LJUBLJANA - Health Minister Andrej Brucan and a representative of Bank Austria Creditanstalt leasing are to sign an agreement under which the contractor would supply equipment for the Ljubljana Oncology Institute.
        LJUBLJANA - The award for the most popular children's book and the Honour List diplomas of the International Board of Books for Young People for 2006 are to be handed out upon International Children's Book Day.
        CELJE - The 2007 Slovenian Picture Book Award is to be conferred at the Museum of Recent History.

TUESDAY, 3 April
        LJUBLJANA - Prime Minister Janez Jansa is to receive Holy See's Secretary for Relations with States, Bishop Dominique Mamberti.
        LJUBLJANA - The chief-of-staff of the Swiss armed forces, General Christophe Keckeise, is to visit Slovenia at the invitation of his counterpart, Lieut.-Gen. Albin Gutman.
        LISBON, Portugal - Transport Minister Janez Bozic is to take part in a meeting with his counterparts from Portugal and Germany.
        LJUBLJANA - The Peace Institute, Slovenian Journalists' Union and the Journalists' Association are to hold a round-table debate themed "The Technology of Controlling the Slovenian Media".
        LJUBLJANA - A panel on the Roma is to be held at the Slovenian Ethnographic Museum.
        MARIBOR - NKBM, the second largest Slovenian bank, is to present figures for 2006 at a press conference.
        LJUBLJANA - Retailer Spar Slovenija is to speak to the press about results for 2006 and plans for 2007.
        LJUBLJANA - A press conference ahead of Days of Slovenian Information Technology, to be held in Portoroz between 11 and 13 April.
        LJUBLJANA - An exhibition on Baroque painter Anton Jozef Lerhinger is to open at the National Gallery.
        MARIBOR - A press conference on Maribor's bid for the 2012 European Capital of Culture is to be held at the multimedia centre Kibla.

        LJUBLJANA - The Strategic Council for Foreign Policy is to hold a session dedicated to relations with Croatia.
        LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary Commission for Slovenians Abroad is to debate economic cooperation with neighbouring countries, a joint representation of the Slovenian minority in neighbouring countries and a report on the commission's visit to the Slovenian community in Australia.
        LJUBLJANA - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel and Hungarian Ambassador Jozsef Czukor are to sign an agreement under which the countries are to cooperate in the issuance of visas and residence permits.
        MURSKA SOBOTA - Labour, the Family and Social Affairs Minister Marjeta Cotman is due to visit Mura, the country's leading clothes manufacturer.
        LJUBLJANA - The Government Communication Office and Center Evropa are to organise a lecture on the consequences of disrespect for the EU law.

        NOVO MESTO - The Slovenian Roma Association is to hold an event to celebrate World Roma Day, observed on 8 April.

FRIDAY, 6 April
        LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary Budget Oversight Commission is to debate audit reports on the operations of the Slovenian Film Institute and national telco Telekom Slovenije.
        LJUBLJANA - Albanian Foreign Minister Besnik Mustafa is to pay a working visit to Slovenia.
        LJUBLJANA - Health Minister Andrej Brucan is to address a message on World Health Day, 7 April.
        BELGRADE, Serbia - Slovenia is to take part in the European Judo Championships (until 8 April).
        TALLINN, Estonia - The Slovenian men's tennis team is to face Estonia in the first round of Davis Cup as part of the 2nd Euro/African zone (until 8 April).

        MURSKA SOBOTA - The Slovenian Roma Association is to hold the main event to celebrate World Roma Day, observed on 8 April. The key-note address is to be delivered by Speaker of Parliament France Cukjati.

SUNDAY, 8 April
        LJUBLJANA - Churches around Slovenia will celebrate Easter, the holiest festival of Christianity.
        LJUBLJANA - World Roma Day.
