Ljubljana, 16 April - Below is a schedule of events for Tuesday, 17 April:

LIMA, Peru - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel continues his tour of Latin America. Completing talks in Chile, Rupel is to begin a two-day working visit to Peru. (STA)

BERLIN, Germany - Labour, the Family and Social Affairs Minister Marjeta Cotman is to take part in a two-day European Congress entitled "Demographic Change as Opportunity: The Economic Potential of the Elderly".

SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina - A delegation of the parliamentary Defence Committee led by its chair Anton Andrelic will be visiting Slovenian soldiers participating in the peacekeeping mission in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

LJUBLJANA - The president of the regional parliament of Hessen, Germany, Norbert Kartmann is to visit Slovenia. He is to meet Speaker of Parliament France Cukjati (11 AM) and the chair of parliamentary Foreign Policy Committee Jozef Jerovsek (11:35 AM).

LJUBLJANA - Justice Minister Lovro Sturm is to receive at 2:15 PM a delegation of the Norwegian Supreme Court.

LJUBLJANA - Health Minister Andrej Brucan is to present at a press conference at 12:50 PM the results of a 2006 survey on the experience of patients in Slovenian hospitals.

BERLIN, Germany - Health Ministry State Secretary Dorijan Marusic is to attend a three-day eHealth 2007 conference, themed "From Strategies to Applications".

LJUBLJANA - The president of the coalition People's Party (SLS) Janez Podobonik is to make a statement to the press at 6 PM as the party's executive council holds a session.

LJUBLJANA - The Programming Council of public broadcaster RTV Slovenija is to be in session from 10 AM on to discuss the appointment of editors, among other things.

LJUBLJANA - A panel on the EU and its enlargement to the Western Balkans is to see the participation of Jacques Rupnik, research director of the French Centre for International Studies and Research (CERI); at 4 PM.

KRANJ - Iskraemeco, a maker of electric meters, is to present its business results and future plans at a press conference at 3 PM.

LJUBLJANA - A stock exchange evening is to be organised by the Warsaw Stock Exchange and the Polish Embassy; begins at 6 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Advertising Chamber is to hold a news conference at 1 PM on the upcoming Golden Drum Festival, Slovenia's biggest advertising festival.

LJUBLJANA - An award ceremony honouring the most inspiring NGO projects in Slovenia is to begin at 6 PM. Also attending will be Former President Milan Kucan.

OSAKA, Japan - The Maribor opera ensemble is to begin a tour of Japan, which will take it to Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo.

LJUBLJANA - Day off at the Ice Hockey Division I World Championships in Ljubljana.
