LJUBLJANA/KRANJ - As part of his working visit to Slovenia, Moldovan Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev is due to hold talks with his opposite number Janez Jansa (12:45 PM), while he will also take part in a Slovenian-Moldovan business conference (noon). Tarlev is also scheduled to visit parliament and Iskratel, the Kranj-based telecoms equipment manufacturer. Tarlev and Jansa are to make a statement for the press at 2:20 PM. (STA/PHOTO)
LIMA, Peru - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel continues his tour of Latin Amrica with a stop in Peru, where he is due to meet his counterpart Jose Antonio Garcia Belaunde. (STA)
VATICAN, Vatican - Ljubljana Archbishop and Metropolitan Alojz Uran is to celebrate a holy mass in St. Peter's Basilica and attend a general audience of Pope Benedict XVI, when he will congratulate the pope on his 80th birthday on behalf of Slovenian bishops and the Slovenian Church.
PRAGUE, Czech Republic - Speaker of Parliament France Cukjati is to take part in the 8th conference of representatives of parliaments from Slovenia, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. The conference begins at 10 AM, with a press conference scheduled for 1:30 PM.
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary EU Affairs Committee and the Labour, the Family and Social Affairs Committee are to convene a joint session at noon to discuss the implementation of the Lisbon Strategy in Slovenia.
LJUBLJANA - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry is to host a business conference with top officials from the Russian Bryansk region. The event begins at 9 AM.
PREDOSLJE - Franci Kodela, the head of the Slovenian EU Presidency Logistics Centre, and Agriculture Minister Iztok Jarc are to discuss preparations for Slovenia's stint at the helm of the EU in the first half of 2008. The event, hosted by the Kranj local council, begins at 6 PM.

LJUBLJANA - Ljubljana's main library, Knjiznjica Otona Zupancica, is to host an international symposium on Swedish author Astrid Lindgren; begins at 9:30 AM.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - European Science and Research Commissioner Janez Potocnik is to open an exhibition by Slovenian artist Saso Sedlacek on the 11th floor of the Berlaymont Palace at 11 AM. The show focuses on various recycling strategies.
LJUBLJANA - An exhibition of illustrations by Adrian Janezic is to mark the first anniversary since Reader's Digest was first published in the Slovenian language; at 6 PM.
