Italy and Slovenia Fail to Find Common Ground on "Unity Square"
Nova Gorica/Gorizia, 26 April - The square that brings together the Slovenian border city of Nova Gorica with Gorizia on the Italian side of the border was set to become a symbol of the united Europe as Slovenia joined the EU with a big party there on the eve of 1 May 2004. However, in a twist of fate the square is still without a common name three years later.
