LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly is to vote on SD deputy Marko Pavliha's nomination for the post of deputy speaker of the National Assembly, as well as appoint members of the parliamentary inquiry commission for the purchase of eight-wheeled armoured personnel carriers for the Slovenian army. Parliament is also set to discuss, at second reading, the bill on electoral and referendum campaign and take a revote on the code of obligations following a veto in the upper chamber, the National Council. ATHENS, Greece - Prime Minister Janez Jansa is to wrap up his official visit to Greece after meeting President Karolos Papoulias (2:30 PM), Parliament Speaker Anna Psarouda-Benaki (noon), Slovenian business executives and Mayor of Athens Nikitas Kaklamanis. Jansa is accompanied by Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel and Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary Commission for Oversight of Intelligence and Security Services is to convene a session at 9 AM to discuss answers from the Slovenian Intelligence and Security Agency (SOVA) in response to recent developments at the agency.

ANKARA, Turkey - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec is to begin a three-day official visit to Turkey dedicated to outlining Slovenia's EU presidency priorities in defence.

LJUBLJANA - A two-day financial conference, Kapital 2007, is to get underway at 10 AM. A round-table debate at 3:30 PM is to try to answer the question how to make profitable investment in Balkan markets.

LJUBLJANA - The Vienna-based Institute for Higher Learning is to present a survey on the implementation of EU social rights in Slovenia; at 6 PM.

BOHINJ - The Association of Slovenia Ski Lift Operators is to hold a press conference at noon to speak about the results of the ski season.

LJUBLJANA - Vinska druzba Slovenije, a wine merchant, is to hold a press conference at 10 AM to speak about trends on the domestic and global markets and other issues.

LJUBLJANA - The Institute for Sustainable Development, an environmental NGO, is to unveil the campaign to ban genetically-modified organisms; at 11 AM.

LJUBLJANA - The project representing Slovenia at the Venice Biennial is to be presented at a press conference at the Ljubljana City Gallery at 11 AM.
