Upper Chamber Wants Expanded Right to Citizenship for Emigrants

Ljubljana, 25 April - The upper chamber of Slovenia's parliament has filed a legislative proposal that would expand the access of the descendants of Slovenian emigrants to citizenship. In line with the proposal endorsed by the National Council on Wednesday, the age limit for descendants of Slovenian emigrants eligible for citizenship would be increased from the current 36 years to 45.
