Number of Prisoners in Slovenia on the Rise
Ljubljana, 5 May - The number of prisoners in Slovenia is increasing, as the average number of prisoners in the country's correctional facilities rose last year by 11% to 1,268. These figures are worrying since the prisons have room only for around 1,000 inmates, the head of the Prison Administration Tomaz Smole has said.
