Ljubljana, 8 May - Below is a schedule of events for Wednesday, 9 May:

LJUBLJANA - Prime Minister Janez Jansa has called a meeting of leaders of coalition parties for 5 PM to review the implementation of the coalition agreement, in particular as regards economic and social reform measures.

CAIRO, Egypt - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to wrap up his tour of the Middle East with a working visit to Egypt, where he is due to meet his opposite number Ahmed Aboul Gheit (noon, local time). (STA)

BERLIN, Germany - Prime Minister Janez Jansa is to take part in an international conference WDR Europa Forum as part of a panel themed Rethinking Europe! The Globalisation of the EU. Jansa is also expected to make a statement for the press at 1:10 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary Intelligence and Security Services Oversight Commission is to convene another session dedicated to allegations of wrongdoing at the Slovenian Intelligence and Security Agency (SOVA); at 2 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary EU Affairs Committee is to hold a festive session at 11 AM to mark Europe Day. The forum is to be addressed by Speaker of Parliament France Cukjati.

LJUBLJANA - Jozef Jerovsek, a deputy of the senior coalition Slovenian democrats (SDS) and head of the Foreign Policy Committee, is to address the press at 10 AM to discuss the current situation and the future of the EU and Slovenia upon Europe Day.

LJUBLJANA - The Economic Research Institute is to hold a press conference at 11 AM to present the Global Competitiveness Report 2006-2007.

NEW YORK, US - Environment Ministry State Secretary Mitja Bricelj is to take part in a three-day High-Level Segment as part of the 15th session of the UN Commission on Sustainable Development. The session began on 30 April.

LJUBLJANA - The Environment and Spatial Planning Ministry is to unveil a draft operative programme to manage Natura 2000 areas; at noon.

KOPER - Mayor of Koper Boris Popovic is to present his position on speculations regarding the construction of a gas terminal in the port of Koper; at noon.

LJUBLJANA - The Ljubljana City Council is to mark 9 May, the day when the city was liberated in 1945, with a session at 1 PM.

LJUBLJANA - An exhibition on 18th century architecture on Slovenian lands is to open at 7 PM.
