Slovenia Needs to Double its Irrigated Farmland
Ljubljana, 12 May - The increasing frequency of droughts and warnings of climate change are causing a rise in the need for irrigation systems in Slovenia. According to the Agriculture Ministry, some 15,000 hectares of land are irrigated in Slovenia, while the country would need twice the amount.
