BLED - The two-day Annual Bank Conference on Development Economics is to get under way at 9 AM. The event, sponsored by the Finance Ministry and the World Bank, is to be addressed by Prime Minister Janez Jansa, Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk and Francois Bourguignon, senior vice-president of the World Bank. LJUBLJANA - All deputy groups bar the opposition Liberal Democrats (LDS) and National Party (SNS) are to sign an agreement on cooperation in the run-up to and during Slovenia's EU presidency; at 2 PM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Austrian Chancellor Alfred Gusenbauer is to begin in the evening a two-day working visit to Slovenia. The STA is to release a backgrounder ahead of the visit.
LJUBLJANA - A regular weekly session of the government is to get underway at 10:30 AM.
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary Defence Committee is to convene a session at noon to debate shortage of staff in the armed forces, among other things.

LJUBLJANA - Costa Rica's Foreign Minister Bruno Stagno Ugarte is to meet his counterpart Dimitrij Rupel at 4:30 PM as part of his official visit to Slovenia.
LONDON, UK - Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Jure Zupan is to take part in a two-day ministerial on the Bologna process.
LJUBLJANA - Mayor of Ljubljana Zoran Jankovic is to open the first meeting of mayors from the east coast of the Adriatic at 9:30 AM. The event concludes on Friday.
LJUBLJANA - President Janez Drnovsek is to receive the incoming Ukrainian ambassador, Vadim Primachenko, for a courtesy visit at 11 AM.
LJUBLJANA - Anthony Glees, director for the Brunel Centre for Intelligence and Security Studies, is to hold a lecture on internal security in the EU and fight against terrorism; the Faculty of Security Studies at 4 PM.
LJUBLJANA - A news conference is to be held at 11 AM ahead of the 22nd international Vilenica International Writers' Meeting.
LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Museums Association is to present the Valvasor Award for lifetime achievement.
