SD Candidate Fails to Win Post of Deputy Speaker

Ljubljana, 29 May - Darja Lavtizar Bebler, an MP of the opposition Social Democrats (SD), failed on Tuesday to garner the votes to become the third deputy speaker of parliament. The defector from the opposition Liberal Democrats (LDS) needed an outright majority of 46 votes, but only got 37.
