Ljubljana, 9 June - Slovenia looks likely to get a new central bank governor eventually after President Janez Drnovsek put forward a candidate who seems to be acceptable to all but everyone. Economist Marko Kranjec stole part of the limelight from a EUR 750 million deal on the construction of a casino resort in western Slovenia which was clinched by Slovenia's Hit and US company Harrah's. The companies promise the project to be a boost to Slovenia's economy, which is currently booming, according to the Statistics Office.
