Official: Slovenia Opposed to Missile Shield in Current Form

Ljubljana, 8 June - Slovenia is opposed to the establishment of a missile defence shield as proposed by the US at the moment, since it believes it may have "side effects", a senior Foreign Ministry official told MPs on Friday. The ministry offered additional explanation later in the day, saying that Slovenia does not want to interfere in bilateral issues.
