Svagan to Stand for LDS President at June Congress

Ljubljana, 13 June - Matjaz Svagan, mayor of Zagorje ob Savi and deputy of the opposition Liberal Democrats (LDS), on Wednesday agreed to stand for party president, joining lawyer Katarina Kresal, whom the leadership of the party put forward last month. The former biggest opposition party will elect its leader at a congress on 30 June.
