Foreign Vehicles Involved in Serious Traffic Accident
Ljubljana, 16 July - The Permanent Service of the Administration for International Affairs, Celje, and a correspondent of the Slovenian Press Agency reported today on new details of the serious accident which happened today at 10:15 on the Celje-Maribor highway, close to the area Slatina, on the section between the Slatina overpass and the Pletovarje tunnel in the direction of Slovenske Konjice.
Ten vehicles were involved in the crash, among them one with Italian and two with German licence plates. According to unofficial information, excessive speeds and incorrect passing techniques led to the accident. Apparently, six foreigners are among the injured, including at least two children. Three vehicles caught fire, of which two were completely burned, making the investigation of the Celje Administration of Internal Affairs at the site of accident more difficult.
