IAEA Summer Meeting Fails to Adopt Budget

Vienna, 14 June - The UN nuclear agency failed on Thursday to endorse its 2008 budget proposal because of opposition from the biggest contributors. Ernest Petric, who is currently chairing over the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Association (IAEA), however, hopes that a compromise might come in the next few weeks.
