Chambers Reject Law on Elections to State Chamber, Zupančič Resigns
Ljubljana, 16 July - Delegates of all three chambers of the Slovenian parliament discussed three basic laws on elections. They rejected the law on elections to the State Chamber. For this reason, the President of the Chamber of Associate Labour, Jože Zupančič, resigned after voting in this chamber. He explained his resignation by saying that in spite of his appeal, the chamber had not passed this important law and that he did not want to take any responsibility for consequences which would arise from today's decision in the Slovenian political arena.
