Railway workers' demands not justified

Ljubljana, 17 July - The demands placed before the government by the railway workers currently on strike are unjustified and unrealistic, stated Minister of Transport and Communications Marjan Kranjc and Minister of Labour Jožica Puhar, at a press conference shortly after the cabinet meeting today. During today's session, the government also approved certain measures to counter the effects of the current high interest rates, as well as the proposed programme of economic development of trade and small industry.
