Fmr President Boycotted Independence Ceremony Out of Protest
Ljubljana, 26 June - This year's national ceremony honouring 16 years of Slovenian independence was marked with the absence of both the current and the former president. Former President Milan Kucan commented his absence on Tuesday by saying he did not wish to attend an event where the president of the country was not welcome or allowed to speak.
