In the foreground of public attention were the Slovenian Assembly, which failed to pass the Bill on the Elections for Parliament, the official visit of Britain's Prime Minister Douglas Hurd, the growing tension in Slovene-Croatian relations, and the railway workers' strike, along with a few other occurrences.
