"The electoral law which Parliament failed to pass last week was prepared by the Christian Democrats, who also tore it apart under the direct leadership of Lojze Peterle. The President of the Social Democrats, Dr. Jože Pučnik, vouched with his signature that the delegates of his party would vote in favour of the law. Yet they voted against it. The Green Party is supposed to be the ruling coalition's partner, although their idea of a partnership seems to be having a host of ministers in the government, but behaving just as they please in Parliament. In short, all logic has been perverted in the current state in which everybody is trying to shout down everybody else, while nobody wants to even hear of their rights and obligations," writes Jaša L.
