"The refugees at the Obrežje border crossing will for the moment stay where they are, since the status quo still holds for the complications with regard to their departure for the Netherlands," Vice-Premier of Slovenia, Dr Jože Pučnik, reported at today's press conference. Among other things he said that an official statement from the Netherlands explained that the Muslim charitable organisation Merhamed, which had invited 360 refugees from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) on a two-month holiday in the Netherlands, had not made any agreements with state bodies and had therefore acted entirely of its own volition.
