Farmers Issue Ultimatum over Wheat Price

Ljubljana, 7 August - The Trade Union of Slovenian Farmers urged bakers and millers on Tuesday to purchase wheat at the agreed buy-in price or else farmers would stage protests. While farmers want EUR 180 per tonne of wheat, Slovenia's biggest bread and pasta maker Zito has responded by saying that it had already paid for the wheat at a lower price agreed earlier.
