Birth Rate Exceeds Mortality Rate for the First Time in 10 Years

Ljubljana, 31 August - Slovenia's birth rate exceeded the country's mortality rate for the first time in ten years in 2006. While the number of deaths stood at 18,180, the number of births was at 18,932, Apolonija Oblak Flander of the national Statistics Office told the press on Friday.
