Denmark to Treat Slovenia as Other Candidates for EU Membership
Stockholm, 27 January - Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs notified Slovene Ambassador to Stockholm, Ivo Vajgl, that Denmark would situate Slovenia into the group of the ten Central and Eastern European countries, which are candidates for full membership in the European Union. Denmark will do that despite the fact that Slovenia still has not concluded the association agreement with the Union, Slovene Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
