ZSSS Demands Worker Protection in Full Capitalization of Companies
Ljubljana, 3 August - The Free Slovenian Labour Unions (ZSSS) agree that the achievement of full capitalization is a necessary procedure in the reconstruction of the Slovenian economy, but will not stand for a situation to develop whereby the ownership restructuring of companies and the influence of foreign capital this brings will allow future owners to demand European standards of production from the workers in return for Balkan wages, while giving redundant workers the sack at an accelerated pace, said the chairman of the ZSSS Dušan Semolič at a press conference called today by this organization to put forward the Labour Unions' opinion regarding the restructuring of Slovenia's ironworks.
