Negotiations on Collective Contract and Social Pact Must Continue

Ljubljana, 3 August - "The economic situation in Slovenia does not allow wages appointed by collective contracts. That is why discussions between the government and working unions on the revision of the collective contract and social pact must continue. Eventual social riots, which might break out due to unsuccessful negotiations, could threaten economic and organisational restructuring of the society which is necessary for Slovenia," said Minister VoljĨ in the introductory speech to the regular monthly press conference of the Ministry of Healthcare, Families and Social Welfare which took place today.
