Poettering: Slovenia Can be Proud to Be First New Member at EU Helm

Ljubljana, 7 September - President of the European Parliament Hans-Gert Poettering is very happy for Slovenia for being the first new EU member state to be holding the presidency, which he says is a fact of highest historic and political importance. Poettering also spoke about forthcoming challenges and touched on Slovenian-Croatian relations in an interview with the STA on the sidelines of the Parliament's September plenary session.
