The Government: Family Incomes Will Not Decrease

Ljubljana, 5 August - The Minister of Health, Families and Social Security, Božidar Voljč, at a press conference following today's government session, repeated his denial of the information spread by some of the media that the Government plans to reduce the maternity leave payment mothers are entitled to during maternity leave and the length of the paid maternity leave itself. Minister Voljč gave assurance that the length of the maternity leave would remain unchanged and that the maternity leave payments mothers are entitled to would in future be commensurate with the entitled person's wages prior to the commencement of her leave.
