Prime Minister Drnovšek in Salzburg

Ljubljana, 7 August - Slovenia's main problem at this time is the privatization of the economy, said Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Drnovšek at the international seminar of diplomats in Salzburg today.
In the lecture he gave today at the seminar, Janez Drnovšek said that the ownership relations in approximately 80 percent of the companies in Slovenia are still unclear. The majority of the companies privatized in 1991 are now in the hands of foreign investors, said Prime Minister Drnovšek, adding that a new law would shortly be elaborated by the Slovenian Government in order to speed up the process of privatization.
