Piebalgs: Solution to N-Plant Dispute Before Croatia Joins EU

Brussels, 12 October - European Commissioner for Energy Andris Piebalgs told STA on Friday that the issue of funding the decommissioning of the Krsko Nuclear Power Plant (NEK) and the nuclear waste disposal would be solved before Croatia enters the EU. Piebalgs said the jointly owned plant was the responsibility of both Slovenia and Croatia.
