Slovenia Spent over EUR 6.5bn for Social Protection in 2005

Ljubljana, 20 October - Slightly over EUR 6.6 bn were spent on social protection in Slovenia in 2005, up 3.9% compared to the year before, according to the latest data of the national Statistical Office. Slovenia allocated 183% more for social protection in 2005 than it did in 1996.
